Kyndal Clark's 18 Lead Drake's Women To 73-38 Victory Over Quincy Before 1,736 Fans At the Knapp Center In Exhibition Game That Marked Jennie Baranczyk's Coaching Debut With the Bulldogs

Sophomore guard Kyndal Clark (Webb City, Mo.) scored 18 points as Drake overpowered the Quincy Lady Hawks, 73-38, in its first exhibition game of the basketball season in front of 1,736 fans at the Knapp Center Friday night. Stephanie Running (Oak Creek, Wis.), Dilonna Johnson (Milwaukee, Wis.) and Ashley Bartow (Verona, Wis.) added eight points each for Drake. Junior forward Morgan Reid (Kansas City, Mo.) chipped in

with seven points and five rebounds for first-year Drake coach Jennie Baranczyk. Quincy was led by Felisha Loggins with 12 points, and added six rebounds. The Bulldogs held the Lady Hawks to just 26.4 percent shooting. Drake used an 8-0 run, the last two points from redshirt freshman Carly Grenfell (York, Neb.) on a layup to build an 18-9 lead at the 9:48 mark in the opening half. The Bulldogs extended the lead to 37-18 going into halftime with the help of two three-pointers from junior college transfer Mary Pat Specht (Shawnee, Kan.) and six points from Clark. Clark had 12 points in the opening half.
